What about this area...near the Bahamas

Is this an ULL? If so, it looks like it may have a chance to drop to the surface. Whattayathink?

I can't help but notice that's where Rita formed...

Probably won't be much to come of it, at least anytime soon. PLEASE. :eek:

Not much deep convection with it, but JB did say last week that there was an area near the Bahamas that needed watching around this timeframe.

I agree there's not much convection. There's really none at all at this time. I just caught my eye. It seemed to have come out of no where. I'm not even sure if it's an ULL or not. If any Mets have an idea, please share so I'll learn.

Could it be a jet max or a starting formation of an ULL, it seems to be very congested down in that area.

convection is flareing up? can this become something in the future?it seems not to be moving at all? if anybody has info on this post it please! i think this is the area joe b has been saying to watch in th bahamas!

Huh? Decreasing heavily where the area is, and only increasing 5 kts over the Bahamas. I hardly call that unfavorable.

Sure, only increasing 5kts...because there's already 50kts of shear in the area. That TINY strip in the middle might have no shear, but there's 50kts to the west and 30kts to the east. Nothing is developing there.
