Have hurricane remnants ever made it to the Rockies?

just curious- would be interesting if hurricane remnants made it all the way over there. Would be even more interesting if they made it there on a cool night and some precip fell as snow in the highest elevations.

a few years ago there was a cane that crossed from the gom and had a low level circ off southern california. went all the way across the desert sw. i think it was claudette in 2003

Actually, there have been quite a few of them that made it across. Diana in 1990 dropped heavy rains in AZ causing flooding after landfalling near Tampico with the remant actually travelling up the Sea of Cortez and recurving into SE AZ. A 1995 strom dropped about three inches of rain us in August of that year. Two remnants this year crossing Mexico triggered monsoon surges into SE AZ. Claudette didn't do much here but did bring rare Summer rains to coastal SoCA. In 2000 Beryl brought in some nasty squalls here. These remnants can bring some really severe weather at tmes. Then there are the EPAC storms, but they are a different story as they have come in as full blown Tropical Storms.
