I'm not attacking JB. He has great analysis...It's just the fact that
Arlene, Dennis, Cindy, Katrina, and Rita have all traversed the GOM
that is just really shocking. I didn't expect the ridge to be THAT strong
this year.

I'm insane by default for several years now, so this insanity is by no
means out of the ordinary, therefore I can stand it perfectly well.

What I meant to say is these GOM storms have driven me insane.

Again, I respect JB greatly for his skills in analysis.

Our local met said the cold front would not reach south Florida only to central Florida. That was on the news at 5:00pm.

What cold front? Oh yeah the one forecasted for thurday Supose to bring our temp down here in Corpus to 92.Brrrrr :) The the ridge builds in again and is somewhat strong. It would be quite interesting to see a S storm threaten Texas in October, but this season is still shooting for more records.

The first cold front bypassed us here in SE TX, basically all of TX since most areas except thje panhandle were close to or above 100 today. The next one isn't even due in the area till Thur/Fri time frame and it looks like the high will be back in control by then and this one could bypass us in SE TX too. Not the best situation to be in since if that high continues East it will open us up again in the W GOM. Unfortunately that has been the pattern all season except for a short time and is something I commented on early in the season(pats own back :D )which unfortunately has come true for the GOM-a busy GOM season tosay the least. I pray it is over for all of us, but I am not about to hold my breath.
