12:07 PM Lafayette, La. all is well with me fence down in the back yard is all we have seen, winds still gusting around 40 mph with squalls, power went out this morning at 8:20 am came back on at 10:40 but we had it throughout the worse part of the storm WTG Lafayette Utility Sytem, they are the greatest. Still have my family here from near the coast they will probabaly be here for a while, no power down there and I won't let them go home without it

Stephanie just got off the phone with her about 20 minutes ago. They are fine, but I don't think they have tried to head home yet.

So glad y'all have heard from her! I was thinking about her as we were watching Fox News earlier and John Gibson was talking about the lack of news coming out of places like Jasper and Orange.

Inno reporting from Lafayette.
Not much damage, winds were more fun than scary. It was an interesting night and Lafayette seems to have weathered it well.

I got back to League City yesterday. Some limbs and privacy fences down in my neighborhood, but nothing else. My relatives in Jefferson and Orange County did not fare so well. I am originally from Port Arthur and most of my family lives either there or in Orangefield (just outside Bridge City). My grandparents will be arriving at my house on Tuesday from Marshall, where they evacuated too. Both are not in the best health and at this point, we still do not know if their home (a mobile home) is still standing. I would say it is very doubtful. Anyway, we are going to be putting them up for a while. I'm looking forward to it, as I hardly ever get to see them (maybe once a year or so). I just wish it could be under better circumstances.

It's great to see people checking in or relaying information about the other members. Great to see that all is well with each of you (or as well as can be expected).

Back at work...as I've said in other threads, I'm just scanning right now. Will try to catch up more in the evening when I get my home computer hooked up again.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!! Happy to be safe and home! :)

So glad to hear that many of our friends are returning, if not to normality, at least, coming to the board to let us know they are OK. We were really worried about you guys!!! Please let me know if there is anything you need or anything I can do for you.
