What season is the most memberable?

Honestly for me, I'd have to say both years. I got hit in 2004 with Ivan; in 2005 it was Dennis and then I moved away because of it all.

2005 without doubt. And if you had asked me three months ago if that was possible ... I'd have said almost certainly not.

Both years are very memorable for different reasons. 2004 saw Florida get hammered by four hurricanes, including Charley and Ivan. Also, Haiti was decimated by Jeanne, and 3,000+ were killed there then.

Then in 2005, Dennis devastates Cuba and then the Florida Gulf Coast after becoming the strongest hurricane ever in July. Then, Emily formed within a week of Dennis and became even stronger, and also left some destruction throughout Grenada and Mexico. Then came the biggie: Katrina. Need I say more? We'll be talking about Katrina for the rest of the 21st Century, in my opinion. And Rita was a bad one for Port Arthur, Beaumont, and Lake Charles; not to mention, it re-flooded parts of New Orleans.

Picking one of the two, I would say 2005 is the more memorable season, but these two seasons are the two most memorable years I have ever seen. I started casually watching hurricanes in 1994 (these two even rank above 1995 for me), and then started tracking in 1996.

Thats one thing the last 2 years have not had in the USA, the came cane making 2 landfalls as a major hurricane

I want to choose both because I was hit by Ivan in 2004 and Dennis's eye went over my house earlier this year. Hard to choose, but I'd say IMO 2004 because Ivan was my very 1st hurricane and had to be the craziest expirence of my life. 2005 sticks out because of all the storms targeting the gulf.

2004 was childs play compared to 2005. The damage in Florida is superficial compared to what happened to the LA and MS coasts.

2004 was memorable.......2005 has been insane. Twin sub-930 mb monsters in July....followed by twin sub-903 mb monstersin the GOM; one of which became the deadliest U.S. hurricane in at least 77 years....

Scariest part: 2005 isn't over yet. I still have grave fears of a powerful Florida hurricane in October, and IMO we have an excellent shot of seeing a new record for activity (surpassing the 21 named storms in 1933). IMO 2004 was bad......2005 worse (and more to come
