IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT...ALTHOUGH THE REMNANTS OF RITA
GOT PICKED UP BY A TROUGH...AT LEAST A SMALL PIECE OF HER ENERGY MAY ACTUALLY BE THE AFOREMENTIONED VORT MAX NOW OVER THE NE GULF.
SATELLITE/WATER VAPOR LOOPS BACK IN TIME...AS WELL AS THE CIMMS SATELLITE DERIVED VORTICITY SEEM TO SUGGEST THAT PERHAPS THE TAIL END OF WHAT WAS LEFT OF RITA BECAME TRAPPED UNDERNEATH A RIDGE AND SHUNTED BACK INTO THE GULF.

TWC has been talking this up all afternoon. I don't see an invest for it, but TWC said the hurricane hunters were going into it tommorow. ANy thoughts from the pro-mets on development possibilities?

I would guess low (no pun intended) due to the cold front comeing down in a couple of day to start cooling things _slowly_ down and I would imagine Rita's upwelling has also cooled things off (I haven't checked the new SST's) Thoughts?

Also, after the Ivan-o-brawl last year on renaming, IF, I repeat IF it gets named, would this be a Rita, part 2? It could be said it was still "part" of Rita...

There goes our chance at Alpha

No, it would be renamed because this is just the ghost it isn't the low level center.

A new Low-level Cirulation has formed with this system

something to watch.

Could this low develop into something?

What are the chances of that happening?

Yes, there's clear low-level rotation. But it's in some very dry air now, and there are no thunderstorms associated with hit. With the front approaching, it should be picked up and carried inland tomorrow. Development is quite unlikely.

Do not see anything in the gulf. Looks like it has dissipated.

And yes flhurricane it is raining at my house now. I see there are sparatoic clusters of rain all over Fla. and the coast. Not the usual rain pattern here.

Mobile (KMOB). It's not much...just a rotation of showers.

How can you hear the lightning and thunder in W. Palm? Port St. Lucie is a good 50 miles north of W. Palm.
