You people in Mobile County, Alabama

#1 Postby Mississippi Storm Magnet » Wed Sep 28, 2005 7:31 am

need to use the Red Cross that is in MOBILE COUNTY.

Rant follows:

I am living in George County, MS with my family now since Katrina destroyed my house. The Red Cross is giving $360/person to victims. Only here in George Co., 700 people per day can be processed due to low staffing. The Red Cross began distibuting money Monday and will end next Friday.

So I went out, I thought early at 6:30 am to get in line. I drive up, and walk toward the entrance and a National Guardsman is explaining things to a lady. All 700 tickets have already been given out. They started at 2:00 am. Just get here tomorrow earlier.

As I am walking back to my truck with my Miss. State University shirt on, I notice the car tags of almost every vehicle are Alabama tags. 2Axxxxxx whatever tags, which mean they are from Mobile County. Mobile Co. is just across the state line from George Co. But it is at least 30 Miles.

Sorry, but I think that you Alabama people have STOLEN from Mississippi. The Red Cross sets up at certain places to help people IN THAT AREA. Not for you to drive 45 minutes to come steal.

Rant over.

Being over in the 5A area I don't understand why Mobile can not go to the Civic Center in Mobile where they are doing everything including Red Cross.
