No offense to you others, but whenever someone from Louisiana or Texas speculates if a storm will hit them, no one criticizes them. Why does this happen to people from Florida? Not that I like Florida or anything (NY rules IMO!), but I believe in equality for all STK posters.

Umm thats not true...does the name Rita ring a bell?

First of all my post was never meant to suggest that a storm was on the way to where I live. Hicksta seemed to somehow imagine that I said that and seems to be angry about something and I'm not sure what. Either way I posted it because I noticed something and I wanted to know if any other mets on there would see what I was talking about and one did and I said thank you.

I was pointing out the fact that some models were pointing as some type of low pressure forming off the south east coast and I had not noticed it before. I kind of wanted to see what everyone thought about it. My focus wasn't on just the GFS it was on all the models. When I get the 18Z runs to see if anything shows up on those. I am inexperienced and not educated and I am trying to pick up on this. I am lucky I have a site like this where I can learn more and more everday. Derek stated that it was probably just a surface trough which I don't know much about.
