Its hard to believe that this thing has 80c cloud tops. With nice wraping moving into a LLC. IN it is not a tropical storm. Theres something I don'g get.

The designation AL902005 through AL992005 are used over and over for investigation areas. Th next investigation area will be AL912005. Once an investigation area is classified as a tropical depression, it gets the next permanent storm number for the year. In this case; AL192005. This number stays with the storm for eternity and is used behind the scenes for model runs, track forecast etc. The number stays with the storm even after the storm reaches Tropical Storm strength and earns its name.

Floater 2 now is over TD19.Wow very deep convection over the low suggesting that Stan is very close to be named.It has started to move more north now 310 albeit crawling.

Let us remember that the 18z models called it an Invest... and 3 hours later it was TD 19. Don't rule out Stan at 11pm just because the models still say it's a TD. I really think they'll upgrade.

When you or I get the 11 PM advisorie package our eyes have to go up to the header to see if it says Tropical Depression 19 or Tropical Storm Stan.

There are many tropical waves that may have 80C clouds...just because convection is deep does not mean the system is strong.

TD19 is concentrated and looks like a tropical storm to me.

10:30pm TWO called it TD 19 with a slightly different location from 5pm so it looks like no upgrade.

I posted this tutorial a while ago. I hope you find it helpful.

Uploading is very simple, sometimes it may take a while to upload an image, and other times, a little over a few seconds. It just depends on your Internet connection and the size of the file.

First you need a website that will host it. I prefer free hosting sites. A few good ones are ImageShack and PhotoBucket.

ImageShack is very simple to use, absolutely no registration is required.

1. Hit the "Browse" button next to the text box.
2. Search for the image that you want to upload (most likely in "My Pictures" I'm guessing)
3. Now you are ready to upload, click "host it!".
4. You are now at a new page, right click on the text box that says "Thumbnail for forums (1)". Hit copy.
5. You are now ready to paste that into a post. Here's an example of what it will look like:



6. (Optional) If you want the image to be displayed with out the use of clicking on it and bringing up a new window, scroll down on the same page that was mentioned in Step 4. Right click on the text box that says "Hotlink for forums (1)". Hit copy, and the rest is the same as Step 5. It should look like this:



Now, PhotoBucket requires you to register. It is very simple and free. Uploading images to photobucket is just like uploading to ImageShack. The advantage here is that you can manage your uploaded photos, which I find very useful.

If none of the above satisfies you, you can always try some of the image hosting sites on the web from this link.

My Eight Ball agrees with you. I asked it if TD19 would be a fish. The response was "It is decidedly so."

It doesn't have the best track record though. I asked if Katrina would hit NOLA and it said no. I would have to evacuate for Rita and it said no.

Actually, that would be a good experiment for everyone who still has one of those eight ball things. Ask it if TD19 will be a fish. If the Eight Balls agree with the models, then I would have to say that it is......
