Well, something's wrong, because this is west of where the 2pm advisory put the center, but we've still seen nothing but easterly winds.

Judging by visible satellite loops, I think the actual center is south of their present estimate--perhaps 86.5W, 18.6N. That would make it about 60 miles 210 degrees (southwest) of their estimate. That would also fit with the recon data. There may be two circulations--the low-level one further south and the mid-level one sixty miles to the north. This might be why it is relatively stationary as the two circulations continue to consolidate over each other.

I want to think that the crew is taking a little break and went to an airport in Yucatan but for over 30 minutes no obs haved been seen.I dont want to think for a second that they are having other problems.
