Upper keys are under strong E-SE flow, lines of shows and thunderstorms are streaming in from the atlantic, aligned SE to NW approximately and moving to the west. Strange winds last night, with some strong gusts out of nowhere.
I think we're just getting the effect of being between a strong high to the north and maybe Stan and an ULL to the east.

Looks like you spoke too soon... the rain already IS in my area! The same gusty and rainy "feederband" conditions are now ounce again in my area, with more on the way.
Southeast Florida needs NO MORE rain... the upper west coast of Florida and Tampa Bay area could use it.

That might be and probably is the case.

Thanks for reminding me... I am VERY ready!
Anyway, it feels pretty cosy... without most of the stress from a landfalling tropical system!
By the way, I just heard a rare rumble of thunder. I have not heard very many rumbles, only a few rare, occasional ones.

Check this out... Palm Beach and Broward counties are really getting hammered, including my area!

Like you said, WeatherEmperor, more is on the way as well!
By the way, notice the strong cell in southeastern Palm Beach and northeastern Broward counties? I am in the eastern edge of that cell!

Agreed on just about everything you said... in addition, I got wind as well and it was very windy and gusty outside in my area as well! It has cleared up now and the rain has dropped off and is now mostly a light drizzle, but it is very gray outside with very little sun. The main difference is that when I get a break from the rain, the sky is a lighter shade of gray before more rain moves in and the on-and-off pattern repeats and goes on and on and on...
By the way, welcome to Storm2K! Nice to meet you!

Yep, it is going to be on-and-off. Also, I am now hearing thunder more frequently in my area. It is raining now in my area as well and is continuing to do so.

UPDATE - Most of the heavier rainfall is now out of eastern areas of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, including my area. Most of the heavier rainfall is now in western and central areas of Broward and Palm Beach counties. See below...
