Katrina video presentation

#1 Postby dhweather » Tue Oct 04, 2005 12:44 pm

Please take a peek at this, I just put it together. Pass it on, comments
are welcomed!

It's about 12MB, so dialup will be VERY slow.

Very Nice dhw! Those pics of the bridges are just astonishing. It's amazing the power that moving water has. What the hell is that car doing on the Twinspan anyway! I freaked the first time I saw that.

I've got more pictures that I need to put on the web. The damage to
the bridges is astonishing and beyond belief. I've been from New Orleans
to Mobile, and the damage really can't be described.

Thanks for the feedback!

:D Great job! Loved it! I wish everyone in the GOM and on East Coast could see the pictures of the bridges. Maybe it would encourage more people to evacuate. If a storm can do this to a concrete bridge, it can only be worse for items and people less sturdy.

Thank you for a wonderful tribute to those we lost and for those who (by a miracle) we still have with us! :D

From a fellow gulf coaster, i think you did a very good job. I am trying currently to put together a video my self of pictures i took around my home town of st. martin near ocean springs. maybe these pictures will show people that katrina wasn't a minimal 3 cat storm.

Good job on the video and music!!! Have thought of doing the same thing as I have some good pics of the devastation. Many local areas such as Shell Beach, Delacroix, and Hopedale, LA were wiped off the map. Sooooo sad!!!

Thanks to all for the kind words. I encourge you to send the link on so
others will understand the gravity of the situation here, and to never
take a major hurricane "lightly".

Awesome video, DH. Unfortunately, words, vids and pics really don't do justice to the horror that is there, do they? I wish every member on this board could take a trip to the coast and see firsthand the destruction. It's simply heartbreaking!

Tim, folks will never be able to appreciate what Katrina did and her
total power unless they come see first hand. Pictures can not do
the disaster justice.
