Wal-Mart

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Mon May 19, 2003 9:18 am

My sister is a district manager for those stores in the Atlanta area. She told me last night that they are fixing to start selling Levi apparel and Nike apparel and shoes. She also informed me they will beat the competition on the prices. I think that is great!!

A Super WalMart is opening down the street from us. My wife is all kinds of excited about it. I can't get her out of Target as it is.

Good move by WalMart... They have to find a way to get the younger crowd shopping in there.. The ones that don't think its "cool" to shop there..

I buy stuff at Wal-Mart and my friends always say, "Nice shirt...shoes...etc. Where did you get them?" I just smile and say, "Somewhere!"

Walmart gets way too much of my money. Sometimes their variety of selections aren't that good. I usually go to Target too.

I will do anything in the world to avoid Wallmart. Shopping is not one of my favorite things to do (except in Home Depot) :-)

Same here Gulfbreezer - if I want to stay on budget - I have to avoid going.

My question is how many times to you pick up stuff and get home and forget you bought it and find in days or weeks later. Or thinking you are out and when you get home you already have a surplus.

I do.

We have transferred all our prescription to Target's Pharmacy because WalMart has become so completely bogged down with what seems to be all the old people who have been going there forever, filling theeir numerous prescriptions. Maybe its just ours, but we won't use their pharmacy anymore.

We have a Wal-mart. I don't like it because it's always jammed, you have to park way out, and the traffic on the access road is always a disaster.
And since I rarely go there, I can't find anything in there. I like the concept of the hardware store, shoe store, pharmacy, &, etc., separate.

I don't use Wal-Mart's pharmacy either j! It is way too crowded.

I do shop other places too, but Wal-Mart unfortunately is the only store in town that you can get a lot of things. I think we are getting a Walgreen's! I hope so. I can't wait! :)

LOL Marshall, you're such a GUY!!

I'm thankful that I can go in the AM after dropping the kids off at school, because that parking lot on eves and weekends is murder!
Man, you just can't beat their prices, especially on food. But the quality and freshness of the produce isn't great. I go local for that.

I hate Walmart. I call it Hellmart. Whereever a Walmart goes in, the ma and pa type stores are run out of business. I never set foot in a Walmart and make the sign of the cross as I go by.

Walmarts are evil! Dont touch them!
