Re: probably headed to the NNE or NE too

I can't remember which model showed something like this (possibly more than one), but I do recall a "son of Stan" type low pressure area showing up in it. Could mean more nasty weather for FL even as Tammy pulls to the north.

The GFS showed it last night.

So if something formed from this, would it still be called Stan, or would they go to Vince?

My guess is Stan, using the Ivan precedent.

I doubt this current blob will be anywhere near the same position in 5 1/2 days.

My guess is it would be named Vince, its a separate entity from Stan.

Well, that's the debate - whether this piece of energy is coming from Stan, or whether it's something else (what else could it be... 99E from the Pacific?).

Would Tammy pull the "blob" by the Yucatan more to the N or would it continue to the NE? Is Tammy actually what is pulling it?

Nope...it would be Vince. They dissipated Stan. This is a piece of the energy...but you won't be able to trace the LLC to that blob...which is why they made Td 10 into Td 12. Same mid-level energy but not the same sfc entity.

That piece of energy, looks almost as good as Tammy. I don't have a Java enabled browser at work. Can anyone tell me the direction it is heading?

Thanks!

Thsi is the Mid level Center from Stan, the NHC mentioined this happening last week. The LLC of Stan is moving into the EPAC and the MLC is moving NNE over the Yucatan.
Looks like a lot of rain for Fla.
