It is now a 45MPH tropical storm, based on the 2PM advisory from the National Hurricane Center. The lowest pressure estimated (and found by a RECON plane) is now 1003 millibars.

there was a thing on the news yesterday that we will be in this active phase for tropical development until the year 2025 so is it possible we could see a year even more active then this year since we are just getting started?

Anything's possible, but I don't believe research shows that active periods take a few years to ramp up, if that's what you mean, and they are expecting similar numbers of storms as in other historically active periods. More than 20 named storms is near the high end in activity, so I don't think anyone expects to get to, say, 40 named storms.

But who knows? I'm printing a bunch of T-shirts (suggested elsewhere today):

I survived Hurricane Beta!
I survived Hurricane <Mayan symbol>!
I survived 12-15L, 27L, 32L, and 43L-47L (and now I'm moving to Iowa)!

Watcha got there is some early (old) model guidance on AL212004, which became Tammy and some recent intensity forecast data on AL942005.
