Question about cold front

Now that a cold front is headed our direction, will texas be protected from hurricanes?

I believe that will be it for us.

Water temps will be cooling quite a bit this weekend with lows in the upper 50's to near 60 to the coast.

We certainly do not need any more activity in the Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange area because of Rita which certainly caused us considerable problems.

yes, I agree, I did want a hurricane here, but, I have re-thought my position after the scare we had....oh no, I will never wish for that again!

More than likely... yes. One could always sneak through, but the chance is quite small.

HIGH - 92
LOW - 75

Friday-
HIGH - 78

I think Louisiana is done too for this season. I sure hope so. I am so burnt out from this season. I am ready to start the fall. Some crisp air, halloween, barnfires... Digging out my long sleeve shirts and jeans. And putting away my tanks and shorts, and flip flops. I hope it will snow again this year. But, fat chance. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Louisiana and Texas saw snow again for Christmas? I can only dream.........

Carl Arrendondo (New Orleans Met) just said that a small jacket may be needed for the weekend mornings, and the other news anchors started cracking up laughing.....isn't it nice to start thinking sweaters and jackets!

They are saying 50 here Saturday and Sunday Morning... maybe Upper 40's.

I'm still wearing shorts as of right now(it's been so warm it's hard to believe it's October), but it's time to get the jeans out... FINALLY. :D
