It's Beaufort, and we've had a lot of rain, but I doubt enough wind to knock down any trees, unless old rotten water oaks.

Yea, you're correct...Beaufort I read it too fast. Fire/Rescue reported that there are trees and powerlines down in several places, and that a tree limb fell on a house causing a house fire.

Trees and powerlines have been reported down south of Savannah. So far, that's the only damage reports I've gotten.

It's not bad here right now, kind of squally but nothing to get too excited about. Looks like a bunch more is on the way but it always seems like whatever is forecast for this area, cut it in half and that's about what we usually get.

Looks like Tammy made landfall in Jacksonvile near Mayport Naval Station as a 50mph TS according to the 8pm advisory. Been a while since Jacksonville took a direct hit from any tropical system off the Atlantic. Most of the winds and rain though are off to the north and north east. Amazing though how there is little if any rain or wind here right now.

Most of our hits are backdoor hits that come across the state.
Amazingly, we are affected at least every 4 years (on average) with a TS or better passing within 60 miles of downtown Jax.

I live in the midlands of sc right below Columbia, its very rainy and a bit breezy here . im not sure what the temp is i think the low 70s. Does anyone know if there is going to be severe weather my local news said only a very slight slight chance for any that he didnt expect any watch areas besides the flood watch to go up.
