I thought last week's episode was interesting. I think we may have seen it that way for a reason. I am just not sure why.

I've decided to be patient as we await many of our questions to be answered. I was enjoying that imdb board for a while. But those fans are nuts! Disecting every comment, every scene, every camera angle.

Apparently you can see the World Trade Towers in the background, in the window in Michael's g/f's lawyer's office. There is a sheer curtain on the window but you can see office buildings in the background. My eyesight isn't that good but if they're the TT then that's a neat tribute I guess.

Yoda/Matt - it is addicting and easy to get into. As far as trying to figure it all out, fans from day one are still trying to do that. I figure if they're confused, then I'm in good company. But it's fun, trying to notice small details, b/c they are important to note and then wonder if it's important to the storyline. For example, the candy bar's name is supposed to mean something. What, I have no idea!

I'm patient enough to wait each week for more info to be revealed.

Now thats how I remeber the show being. Great Episode!! Man I love this show. Just got done watching, and I am pumped for next week. Who are those others? Are the really from the tail end of the plane? And is Loch and Jack going to stay in the dungan and keep pressing that button? I don't know about that movie that was played either. Jack kinda made sense when he said an experiment to see how long they would push the buttons, but who really knows. I think I would keep pushing it. LOL. Anyway can't wait till next week.

Can't wait to discuss the show but I guess I should wait until everyone who posts on this thread, watches it (Steve, hurry up!).

All I'm gonna say is this - I'm sticking with Jack on this one!

And Hurley......he always has the best lines or best reactions......the food!

Hi Mary! (and all you Lost devotees :) )

I just wanted to wait for everyone to post before I did so I didn't speak too soon. What a great roller coster ride the show was this week! Can't wait to discuss it on this thread tomorrow!!

Thought you all high tailed it with Desmond! I'll await our discussions tomorrow. It's quite late and I'm so tired tonight anyway....whatever I'd type wouldn't make much sense. But when does Lost ever make sense? LOL

Till Friday...

I have become completley addicted to this programme. I made my hubby go and get the first season on DVD from blockbuster, so I can try and catch up and figure out what is going on with who! I think it was a bit of a silly thing for me to do becuase we are only on the 5th disc of the first season and I am watching the second season on Wednesday nights so my brain is getting a bit fried.

I must say, it is a WHOLE lot easier to understand when you watch one episode straight after another on the DVD's. Im so bummed though because Im going to be leaving the country before the end of the second season, so I'm still not going to know what the end has in store  Someone is going to have to rescue me and mail me the second season DVD's when I get back to South Africa. :P

Okay. I hope everyone has had a chance to watch. :) What an episode. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I cried when Locke was with his "father". Oh. My heart just broke -I can so relate to this character's feelings of rejection -for other reasons-not my dad. I can't wait to find out more about his life!

Sawyer and Ana - wow! She kicked some booty. I rooted for Sawyer, but it was interesting to have someone just as strong and dangerous as him. This woman seems to make Kate look like a choir girl.

As for the hatch, I know they implied that something could blow up-the world could end without pressing the numbers and execute button, but is it possible those numbers inputted into the computer are a signal for illegal wire transfers from money made from drugs?

Anyhow, I am really curious to see where the "orientation" tape goes and I can't wait for next week! :D

ps -I can't get enough of Hurley saying "Dude!" Makes me smile every time!!

Elle - we finally got some answers this past week.

Sawyer and Ana - sparks a flying there! I'm thinking she's with the tail section passengers that survived and they are not the others. The African American man that attacked Sawyer (felt so sorry for him), will turn out to be Rose's husband (b/c we see her again next week). I really don't want Ana with Jack though.....she's a little too rough for me. Apposites attract though and she's more like Sawyer it seems like. Too much, which will be their downfall. She does make Kate seem like a choir girl - good call!

I thought the scenes with Locke and his 'father' (some fans think the man pretended to be his birth father to get a kidney), were very sad. I liked Kate, er uh, Helen. We think of her as the mom from 8 Simple Rules now, not Married With Children's Peg. LOL You can see why Locke gets very impatient with small worries. He looks at the big picture. But I have to say hitting the button wasn't a leap of faith! What was a leap of faith was to question why Desmond trusted that was what he was supposed to do every 108 minutes! I am very surprised Locke didn't question it all more. As soon he pushed the button, my daughter Laura said - oh great, now they are locked into hitting it every 108 minutes now......

Hurley has the best lines! A funny scene would be him covered in chocolate and food crumbs next week, saying I'll just hang in the pantry for a while everyone....see ya next month!

I wish Jin, Michael and Sawyer would find Jack and the rest much sooner. Writers have said it will be a while before they all reunite. Probably for what, November sweeps?!!!

What I do find hard to believe is that they're all going to keep programming the numbers into that old computer every 108 minutes, on faith alone this is the right thing to do. In real life there would be one person who would sabatoge this plan, to see what would happen.

I'm kind of interested in that old lady who "lost" her husband in the plane crash. You know the older black woman, Rose, is her name I think. She is in this next episode, I hope she finds her husband or smthg :)

Hate Jack?

Wow, he's still my favorite! He doesn't want to face the fact that they're all on this island for a specific reason yet and is still trying to explain it all away, in a calm, reasonable way. But I still really like him!

But it's okay......for some Locke is their clear favorite. And then there's Sawyer.....he is growing on me though. Oh yeah, arm injury and all.....he'll turn out to be good, reluctantly of course. He'll fight being 'good' all the way....

Love this show...

Mary

PS - Just noticed my local Blockbuster rents the first season of Lost. Disc by disc. We're missing about 6 episodes b/c ABC didn't air the complete first season this past summer. Now we have to figure out which ones we're missing, which disc they're on and rent them. This will be a cheaper way to go for us, since the entire DVD collection is close to $50! Just thought I'd mention this to fans who might not know you can rent them....

Yup, definitely some serious eye candy, scruffy and all. LOL

Wondered how long it would take for someone to chime in......I'd let him operate on me, w/o anethesia, but something of course (assuming Sun would find some herb to munch on or Sawyer would fork over a bottle or two of alcohol!).....on a deserted island of course.

But now that they've found Desmond's underground lair, fully stocked, maybe they'll find much needed medication.

Who wants to bet Jack inspects those vials next week? First thing I'm guessing.....and what their contents are.

Definitely eye candy :D Sorry, but I seem to be a woman of few words these days.

Notice Desmond taking many vials with him? Wonder what was in them.
