Uh where did that come from? Didn't it just leave? The lines are bunched really really close together this time. Last time it did that the EPAC had an insane burst of activity.

This is why I recently enquired about the value of the MJO.

Okay, I know the MJO is only one of a number of factors but Wilma became a Cat 5 (with the lowest pressure ever recorded in an Atlantic hurricane, to boot) smack dab in the middle of a very negative MJO. What gives? :?:

Clearly something is amiss.

Umm...

How do agree with Jason? He considered the season a bust after oct 1 and it sure wasnt! The strongest hurricane in atlantic basin formed in october.
