just for fun, nothing official, let's make our own list of winter storm names this year! We will make 3 suggestions max. for each letter, and whichever one gets 3 votes will be our name this year!
Rules for naming storms:
1) Must produce snow below 1 foot elevation
2) Must have full snow, not an ice storm or a mix of rain and snow.
You can add rules to the list if you want.

I meant there must be some part of the storm that has full snow, not all of it.

More than 2 inches
My criteria for naming a winter storm are:
1. More than 2 inches of frozen precipitation or
2. Causes colleges and universities to close, or is predicted to cause weather to cause colleges and universities to close.
Any old winter threat will cause secondary and high schools to close, while it takes a monster storm, like Gargoyle (1996 January 5, VA and Northeast), to close businesses.
