Cat Owners.....
Just curious to see what all the other cat owner's from storm2k have? I had 4 cats - lost one to Feline luekemia last week. Are your cats indoor or outdoor cats?
My other three cats are outdoor cats - but they want to become housecats - LOL - isn't going to happen cause my hubby won't let it.

Sorry about losing your cat last week, Patricia.
Lindaloo - :o :o :o You sure you don't have a couple mountain lions there?
We have 2 that we adopted from the shelter. They are sisters, both black. But Roxy is short-haired, thin, sleek, and graceful. Ramona is long-haired, obese, and is a major klutzoid. She's fun to make fun of.

I've had numerous cats over the years. all Siamese, one was a Himalayan. My present resident trouble maker is a male named SinSei. THe cat hides under the bed and bites my feet when i try to get into bed. It has become an Olympic event of late with me taking running jumps and leaps into the bed from the bathroom, only to piss off the cat...and he doesn't forget he's been out smarted. The cat sleeps on top of my wife's pillow and gives me that look like.."Ha you sucker...get over on your little strip of a bed, she's mine tonight."
I'm thinking I need to get me a female cat...this one is way to jealous and vice-a-versa.

Like J, I have had nothing but Siamese all my life. From the original Samantha to Salem , Cassidy and currently , Ellie...they each had different personalities. Sam was mean, she hated everyone but me....Salem was possessed-lol....Cassidy was a lover, and a wonderful lap cat, very friendly. loved everyone .... And now Ellie (Smellie as we call her ) is her own person. Do not try to pick her up, and its ok if she gets in your lap as long as it's HER idea... She came from a home that had 3 little boys, and everytime you pick her up , she tenses and howls. I am thinking those little fellers most likely gave her a run for her money. Shes a sweet cat tho, and a "jogger" (meaning she runs thru the house in a dead run at about 20 miles an hour, jumps the lazy boy fur flying and it's a good idea to stand clear till shes thru -lol) ~ T

Like J and Tracy, I have two Siamese cats (litter mates) who are both kept indoor, sometimes taken out in the walkway and once in awhile they go in the garage.
My parents and I got them in March 1997 when the were ten weeks old from a reputable breeder. One of them was considered my brother's but when we moved he knew that they had to live together; being litter mates. It was quite an ordeal taking them on the airplane when we moved in June 2000, but we did it.
Simon is a seal point and Samson is a lilac point. My sister and brother-in-law told us about Siamese... they have a seal, chocolate and blue (my cats brothers). Our litter had three lilac females, one lilac male and one seal and blue point; which is rare. Seal points are the most common and blue points are the most rare (besides red points).

Sorry about your kitty Ticka. Like many others here I have Siamese. They are both inside cats that want to be outside cats. The oldest is a sealpoint and is very loving but does not know how to lick. Instead of licking he will bite ----- and it hurts a lot!!!! The younger one is a lilac point and like TLC's siamese he does not like to be picked up but what a sweetie he is. I also have a terrible terrier that torments the heck out of both the cats. They will take so much and then you'll hear a YIP and I know Ernie (the terrier) has pushed a little too far and has been bitten.

Karan, my seal point loves to be held, but the lilac doesn't care to be. They are both very affectionate and love (and need) attention. They act like dogs, temperment, anyway.
Not too many years ago Siamese cats were considered mean. They are ranked fourth according to the Cat Fancier's Association.

I'm a cat lover but can't own one b/c my daughter Nina is highly allergic to them. Does that count? Does it count if my neighbor's cats come over all the time for a visit? True, it does happen. I'm known as the cat lady in our neighborhood. Which drives my Golden nuts! I grew up with cats, just absolutely love them. Nothing better than when one curls up in your lap and just purrs away.
Hugs your cats for me, I miss having one! Have a Golden, which is almost the same thing. She thinks - at 82 pounds - she's a lap dog. Very cuddly, just like a cat.
Finally, I just hate it when someone says they hate cats. Does that ever make me hopping mad! They just don't understand cats at all.......

I have four - 3 strays and one was from the pet shop as a gift. One is a brown tabby, Derby, one is a black and white tuxedo cat named Gipper, there's Milo who's orange and white and then there our BIG red cat, Mac (our mouser). They're inside cats but we let them out in the backyard SUPERVISED. However, Mac makes a run for our 6' fence and scales it everytime! :o He like to hide under our neighbor's deck and he has been know to catch a bird in mid-flight and has ate alot of mice, chipmunks, etc.
He does come back to the front porch eventually, but we're afraid something will happen to him.

I have two cats..Calli and Mara..They are sisters...Calli is a callico and Marra is a tiger. Although Calli has tiger markings on top of the callico markings. They are both very beautiful and unique looking. A friend of mine who raises ragdolls..told me I should show them in the domestic catagory!! I choose not to.
I have more respect for them...then I do for some humans
As for intelligence..lets just say they are smarter than some humans too.. Calli will gently bite me on the hand when I am sleeping if she is bored and wants to play or her food dish is low...Marra will jump up on the sink and push the faucet to let me know her water isn't too her liking!! :o they are both very verbal. They are indoor cats and I never let them outside. I wouldn't trade them for the purest of pure-breeds. I got them at the spca when they were a few months old..they were wild and I put alot of time into raising them. To me they are just like my kids..they will be 4 this december!!!
