For some strange reason, the Alberto-Beryl name list gives me the creeps. Could it be because of the fact that a few of those names have already been dangerously close to retirement?

The 2006 list has plenty of names that should've been retired but aren't because they made landfall as weak Cat 1's or TS's.
Alberto in 1994 devastated portions of the southeast, dumping feet of rain and causing record flooding.
Gordon killed thousands in 1994, disastrous flooding in both Cuba and Haiti. To add to that it took the most erratic path you'll ever see a TC take.
