I've weighed the same for 15 years...about 25 lbs too much. BUTT, through the wonders of gravity, all those happy lbs have huddled around my middle as a final defense against any effort to chase them away. By staying close to each other, there must be a better chance to outlast the salads and shredded wheat and fruit juice I send their way. When I finally do lose weight, it comes off my fingers first, my feet second, and my earlobes last!
We really enjoy our pool every summer. Mostly because it is surrounded by a block wall fence!
Oh...you young fellows have so much to look forward to!
And let me add one more comment. Any comments about your spouse or girlfriend are a lose-lose situation. If you tell her the truth, she doesn't believe you. If you try to be complimentary, your words don't count. If you don't say anything, she immediately wants to go shopping for something new. 32 years of experience talking.
But I love her dearly.

Last spring I was working with a student named Brian at the learning center. He struggled with ADD, and my patience, although seemingly endless to some people, was severely tested after he and I finally settled into some serious study in Biology.
As I stepped away from where he was sitting and was pleased to see there were still 15 minutes of concentrated effort left before his mom picked him up, in walked student Rachel...just dropped off by her dad.
Proclaiming loudly, of course, via verse and tone, "I like big butts......."
That was the end of Brian's lesson that day, and a time when we spent his last 15 minutes rolling out a list of lyrics from contemporary songs that they knew well, but I had never heard. They told me I was blushing, but that just could not have happened.
Their parent's hard-earned cash was spent on the study of pop, rock, and rap that afternoon.
On the way home, of course, I practiced the song so I could surprise Kathy with what I had learned at school. How proud she would be!

That's what popped into my head as well. That's the problem with song lyrics, it's getting to the point that almost any statement one can make in casual conversation is a song title or a song lyric. Pretty soon we will, in a very postmodern fashion, all be talking in song lyrics and song titles.I suddenly have that stupid song in my head "I like big butts ......."
