Okay, my comments....

Susan! I can't believe she's not going to tell Mike she saw Zach. That's terrible! The first encounter was so silly. You wouldn't scream a kid's name from across the park, run with two sundae's in your hand....you ditch them, walk calmly up to him OR better yet get Mike first. Questions - just what was Mike planning to say to Zach? And why he's looking for him? I'm mad at the writers for Susan behaving so immaturely. Glad she's not my favorite DH housewife.

Lynnette - I wanted to cry for her. I predict Tom will be offered a job position he can't refuse and Lynnette goes running back to her former stay-at-home mother role. Willingly this time and doing a much better job than Bree ever could. My daughter glanced over at a scene and wanted to know a kid was crying over an umbrella!

Andrew - smart kid but in the end he paid for it. Hate that creep George.

Gabby - boring, boring. Sorry, she's my least - yawn - favorite.

If you think about it, if Gabby and Carlos would have gotten divorced, then all 4 housewives and if you count Mrs. Applewhite would be w/o husbands. Technically housewives but I always thought you had to have a husband to get that wife tag....

The TV Guide Monday Morning Watercooler critique....for you CajunMama!!!

http://www.tvguide.com/TV/Watercooler/

Desperate Housewives
OK, is Bree's son gay? Or was he lying the same way ABC did with their promos for this "surprising new Housewives"? Because I don't trust either. Nor should any of us after an hour so shock-anemic that Susan's totally uncharacteristic decision to buy Zach out of town — and away from the chronically underused Mike — almost passed for plot development. And don't even get me started on all the sex gags. We all know I'm no prude, but really, having Andrew describe the sound of his own mother's climax to tick off creepy George is just tacky and the Solis' battle to win a conjugal visit felt forced, like the whole thing was cooked up to introduce the horny new lawyer headed for Gaby's bed. (Welcome back, Adrian Pasdar. Good luck with that one). At least Lynette finally got some stuff worthy of Felicity Huffman, though again, I refuse to accept that our working mama's parenting skills are so schizo that her answer to Parker's separation anxiety would involve feeding him a line about a handless orphan in need of his imaginary nanny's services. God knows how she'll handle the post-traumatic stress he's sure to suffer after seeing that trash truck crush Mrs. Mulberry's umbrella. Probably give him a scotch and a handful of her ADD pills. Which we're all going to need if the writers don't pull it together, realize that they keep forgetting about Alfre Woodard and start cooking up some cohesive storylines. — Damian Holbrook

I love to see Bree...but I hate seeing Bree with George!! Icky, icky, icky!!!!

Notice how Bree mentions that they now know Rex wasn't poisoned? I'm still putting money on Andrew.

David -- we still don't know the identity of the person locked up in the Applewhite's basement. According to one castmember, http://www.getdesperate.com/news/050905_01.shtml
"It's nothing you've ever seen, nothing you've ever heard of," Mehcad Brooks (Matthew Applewhite) told Entertainment Weekly, talking about what the Applewhites are hiding. "It's nothing you want to her of in real life, truthfully." On-screen mother Woodard was equally as shocked by the revelations. "My mouth just hit the ground, she said. "I think people will be a little horrified, which will make them giggle."

We're not sure... that's the speculation, but we know he's a guy. We're going to find out, possibly next week just what his relation is.

I loved Andrew vs. George last night. They are SO much alike. I bet George got into trouble when he was a teenager too.

Wonder how long it will take for Duckie and Brent to comment on this DH blurb I found this morning........LOL Mere minutes? he he I didn't notice a slump in writing. Other than Susan doing something so outrageous and honestly, unethical - allowing a runaway to remain on the run? Crazy! What mother would encourage that? Okay, okay, I'll stop harping on ditzy Susan..........read on:

From TV Guide

Michael Ausiello's Entertainment News Column

WISTERIA HYSTERIA: The creator of Desperate Housewives rebuffs the rants of critics who have opined that the Sunday sudser — despite averaging 27.2 million viewers a week, more than it did last season — has hit a sophomore slump creatively. "Yes, we're trying some new stuff," Marc Cherry tells the Associated Press. "Some of it might work. Some of it might not. They can't all be gems." Although he did not write any of this season's first three episodes himself, Cherry accepts "the credit and the blame for everything that goes on screen." Unless you want to blame Rod Lurie. Marc's cool with that, too.

Duckie - I feel your shock and pain. I'm disgusted too, especially when she kissed his forehead. Ewwwww, I don't know why that turned me off, certainly do not want more scenes like that, but that was too - I'm the motherly type, you're the dear son type - for me. Creepy stuff.

I think it's his smile that bugs us the most. And that's he short. Not that there's anything against short men but he just seems, little, swarmy, little minded, all that jazz. I know there's a devious side to the man, uh I use that term loosely, but it's still creepy.

This is gonna get Brent's goat.....I want REX back!

What scares me is that thought of that "steamy" scene that Marcia Cross filmed (I posted about it on page 5, mid-August).

Please, PLEASE, don't let it be with George. I don't think I can stomach it!!

There's a rumor about a "sex tape" scandal. Maybe it will actually be Bree and Rex (something from the past) on the tape. I mean, think about it -- George already tried to embarrass Bree before Rex's death by making her think that Rex had talked about their sex life to him when, in fact, George found out what he found out by snooping around and taking pics of her unmentionables and finding Rex's box of stuff. Maybe he found a tape also, but is holding on to it until he needs to bring out the big ammo.

Not that there's really anything particularly scandalous about a husband and wife having intimate relations. But, if it's on tape, it could be embarrassing.

Oh and that plot is coming up... November 13th episode:

09/21 - One of the housewives plays babysitter for another mother, who leaves in shame after this housewife reveals she saw a bit of 'home-made video'.

I bet it's Bree and Rex, at least I hope.

But wait... why would someone need to "babysit" Andrew or Danielle???? :?:

Maybe that's not it... could be Tom and Lynette that have the video.

I'm betting it's Bree and Rex. Sounds like his sort of thing and she was trying to make their marriage work.

Bree's kids don't need babysitting, that for sure. Now it could be that Susan wants someone to stay with Julie....for fear Zach would come back to see her. That's always a possibility.

Brent - couldn't we just have Rex appear in the shower and Bree blurt out - I had the strangest dream.....LOL I don't think Dallas will ever live down having a former, beloved character come back by using that ploy. I accepted it b/c we got Bobby Ewing back in the deal but writing off a whole season as a dream was pretty lame. I still just don't want to believe Rex is gone!

SPOILER BELOW FOR THIS SUNDAY

It looks like after Bree finds out about the note Rex wrote before he died she will throw her wedding ring in the grave when they re-bury him. Ouch. If that doesn't make the police suspicious I don't know what will.

http://www.desperatefans.org/photogalle ... eve_16.jpg

I swear I'm gonna hurl if she gets closer to George. UGH.

Another thing... it looks like he's being buried somewhere else. There's TRASH everywhere.
