Similar Historical tracks

Based on history it would be an anomally if this system made it all the way to the Yucatan Peninsula. Historical records say otherwise.

I agree, however, 2005 hasnt had much interest in history, other than making it, so I will be watching closely here in Mobile...

Us Northern Gomers, REALLY dont need another one of these

Thanks for the track link, interesting. None of those go west of Cuba, and it looks like that at least is going to happen. A northerly track nearer to Havana aims it much more at SF and the Keys.

Anyone ever plot historical recurving? Seems there's an arcsin (x) function or something that could describe the curve.

Yeah any other year I would say you're probably right but this year some how I just don't think storms are following history too well.

Most of them seem to go through Florida.

Now several of the historical tracks go to Central America and the Yucatan. Maybe the models weren't so nuts after all.
