Moving due SW now... but it's only temporary right?

I'm not convinced it won't hit the Yucatan before it curves northwest... also looks like it's going faster to the SW, like 6 mph.

It would appear like it. Or the system is getting torned to pieces what ever the two.

Matt will you please stop going back and forth! One post you say one thing then another post you say something else! Its not getting torn up! IMO it is developing and could be Wilma at 2am!

It's not moving southwest, it's an illusion, shear is blowing the convection to the southwest, the LLC is on the northern edge of the cold cloud tops and stationary.

Not sure, I said SW in another thread, but it's really just getting its core together. Let's hope it's not another central american disaster with rains that kill thousands. Cuba and Hispaniola are in for some strong convection too.

It looks very good right...I was looking at satelilte was a few hours old. If this was any other storm I would say its likely a tropical storm now. This is based on this satelilte which only shows the top half exposed.
