NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EDT MON OCT 17 2005

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM WILMA... LOCATED ABOUT 220 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST
OF GRAND CAYMAN.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED ABOUT 700 MILES EAST OF THE
SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE.
UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME LESS FAVORABLE FOR
DEVELOPMENT AS THIS SYSTEM MOVES WESTWARD.

A SMALL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS LOCATED ABOUT 1000 MILES
WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
WITH THIS SYSTEM IS DISORGANIZED AND SPORADIC...AND NO SIGNIFICANT
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
TUESDAY.

Some interesting convection, but need to be organised. Worth keeping an eye though ...

I think clearification is needed to ajudge what really is the forecasted wind shear tendency ahead of this potent system east of the islands. Accuweather officials are hinting on winds becoming more favorable as this inoquous system progresses westward.NHC in the TWO are suggesting contrary.

If it can hold together and make it into the Central Caribbean, it may have a chance.
