Because according to Wilma's path.. she may head there way again.. Isn't this just brilliant :roll:

Yep, unfortunately. However, weakening is expected by the National Hurricane Center to below major hurricane status before Florida landfall. Still, though, it is something to watch, especially since the latest GFS run dosn't weaken it very much at all before Florida landfall on the southwest coast.

and we watch Wilma tediously because she's not moving that fast :roll:

pkweed, if you are far from Florida, you might delay your departure. I have been thru several of these and the few days after the storm are not really fun. (ie generally no power and lots of foliage down). Anyway, if you have the option a few days delay won't mean much, but could save you having to drive thru lots of bad weather to a place with no power.

We have been without power here for a total of 8 days this year from hurricanes. (However, I have a big generator so it is not too much of a problem for me.)
