There's still a long way to go before next year's election and anything can happen.

Yeah, there's nothing impressive about any of the Democratic candidates. Being a big Bush supporter, right now I don't see a threat by anyone. I personally hope they don't find a good candidate ;) but there's still time.

J and Stephanie... laws very from state-to-state. In some states there are primaries where you must be a registered Republican, Democrat, etc. in order to vote for that specific side of ticket. In other states, you can choose when you go to the polls what party you want to choose to vote under. In Missouri, it is the latter!

Hope this clears some things up! :)

I also didn't have any problems understanding the ballots during that election (as in every US, State, municipal and special election since 1972- perfect record!), and...no "hanging" or "dimpled chads" here, either!

I posted this in another forum a few months ago when Chad was talking about his experiences with being named CHAD in FLORIDA. But in case you missed it, here it is.

j wrote:GOD NO Steph....but unless I'm wrong, (and I'll have to check my State Laws), I can vote anyway I want in the Primaries. I'll get back to you.

But...whether I'm right or wrong, that wasn't the point. I was just humoring myself with the thought of Sharpton getting the Nomination and how it could be accomplished.

No, I was just kidding - I knew you weren't but I said that only because I thought that you had to be a Democrat to vote in a Democratic primary and vice versa. In NJ you do but from what WX247 posted, it can be different from state to state. Thanks Wx!

It would be pretty sad if Sharpton got the nomination...I sincerely doubt it. :o

I guess Lieberman would be my choice overall.

Southerngale - I like that idea! "KISS" or "Keep It simple Stupid"!!

I cannot imagine in my wildest dreams that Sharpton would ever be the best choice! If he is, Democrats might as well close up shop. ;)
