My dad lives in Bonita and my inlaws are in Ft. Myers.

Not liking what some of the models are showing. Would be thrilled if Wilma makes a run through the Florida Straits and then out to sea...keep praying...ya never know!

Linda

yeah, I keep praying for it to go to the Florida Straits.....
Stone Crab season just opened to, those guys are probably gonna lose a lot. My Dad is an inshore blue crabber we are gonna have to hustle to get his traps in.

Another Naples here-just S. of Bonita. I just stopped on my way home for lunch to get gas for the generator and there was no one at any of the gas stations. Amazing. Let's see if the luck holds up around 5 when I get more water and junk food (I mean nourishing snacks!! ) at Publix.

Reading your posts are deja vu for me. I live on the Southeast Texas coast about exactly where Rita decided to come ashore. Your concerns were ours a month ago. Keep an eye on this girl and be safe! Anyone not taking any hurricane seriously (especially after this year!) is an idiot !!! By the way, anybody need any firewood????? It's plentiful around these parts......

I'm a health food nut myself...but at this rate I it won't be long before I can be easily coerced to go on a junk food shopping spree too! :P

Lynn...my dad is probably not to far from you...he's off of 41 just south of the Lee-Collier line.

I am NOT liking this trend..
With as many times as I have watched aghast at what folks on the central Gulf have gone thru (and the couple of nasty Mexico landfalls) and said, almost makes you wish it would come here, because we're probably better prepared, after last year....
I really don't want this!

Well, I just got out my handy dandy Wally World Atlas and I guess my goose is cooked. Currently looks like I am scheduled for at least TS winds if Wilma comes in anywhere between Homosassa and Naples. Please everyone south forgive me if I hope it goes south of me. Somewhere south of Key West would be really nice.

Guess I'll get up early tomorrow and get some of the "cane" supplies we tend to use up between storms. You know what I mean---chips, crackers, cheeses, twinkies, etc.

Prayers out for all.
