Skeetobite, you rock!!!
I had a fellow "geek" -someone that has nothing to do with my secret life as a meteorology fan- refer me to skeetobite last year (after I had already gotten into it and storm2k)...
She lives in SoCal, and was worried about our status, and wanted me to be informed.
I thought it was a sign of good things to come!

True, but if you want a quick look at the major headlines, he usually has the links first. So somewhere out there there must be a drudge staff scanning for news.
In other instances his site does break the news first.
Congrats to Skeetobite for getting this recognition. I find his site to be constantly updated, clear and concise. Which is the way that I like to get information.
The downside of course is the content of the site. I am worried about Florida. If this storm continues to intensify and head toward Florida, hopefully those in its path will evaculate or otherwise prepare for the storm because they have access to timely and accurate information.

change the category 5 image to white on black instead of black on white.
The one on the main page.
Just a suggestion
Thanks for your input. Cat 5 storms are rare and special (all recent evidence to the contrary). Very specific reasoning went into the crafting of the color scheme of our overall site design, maps, tracks, etc. Including the contrasting of the Cat 5 symbols and track colors against the website theme. Our plan is to ride with this theme for awhile, but we remain open to input.
