Hurricane Wilma,Comments,Sat Pics,Models Thread for laymen
There other thread is just way too technical. I was wondering if one of you pros can break down what's being discussed and post it here.
And us noobs would have a place to ask questions without interfering in the serious discussions.
For example, what's the chance of Wilma making a hit on Tallahassee and at what speed?

I disagree.
This Cold Front IMO isn't gonna be that strong and can possibly erode giving them a shot for a hit.
I respect your opinions but that's misinformation from my perspective. Nothing can be zero percent past 5 days out with a slow mover.

OK... next to nothing.
This trough is MASSIVE. You don't get temperatures staying in the 60's all day 3 days in a row here this time of year without a major something.

Sorry for my poor choice of words once again...

I guess you're right. It's just the last couple pages in that other thread is completely foreign to me. I thought this thread could be used to translate what's being discussed into english. So any non-mets can have a better understand about this soon-to-be dangerous hurricane.

The point still is that although it is going to hit Florida, no one really knows where yet so EVERYONE should be concerned and stay tuned... it has been stated over and over today. It is too early to know... give it a day or two, then we can talk more about evacs and who needs to go and when.

Don't worry, some of us who are even more critically under the gun knew what you meant.
Don't worry about asking questions, either. There are a lot of people here who really care and will share info with you, especially because you are being very respectful and asking questions and not just blasting off uninformed inflammatory opinions like some others here.

I think this is a particularly difficult one because it depends so much on what the front coming from Texas will do, and when. That will determine when and where the storm turns right. It seems that this is something even the pros are having a difficult time predicting. Don't worry about feeling a little overwhelmed by this, it's a complex situation.
