BTW a special advisory was just issued and Wilma is not a Cat 5, but instead a Cat 4 with 150 mph winds. Weird.

Officially a Cat 4 as of a special 1am advisory with winds at 150 mph. NO reason to think that it won't be a cat 5 for the 5am advisory - if not sooner.

Yikes.

The reason they didn't go higher with the special advisory intensity was probably because they didn't want to increase the wind speed by 50kt in two hours. Unreal.
