anyone see where that 175mph reading was in the SE quad, did they even take a measurement in the NE quad

That must be the bottom part of the eye which is 2 nmi.

Well, it is the 2005 Atlantic Tropical season. Nothing should surprise us anymore (although that is almost unbelievable).

I WOULD KILL TO BE ON THAT RECON FLIGHT TONIGHT. THOSE 'FEW GOOD MEN' HAVE WITNESSED THINGS THAT NO OTHER HUMANS HAVE SEEN IN THE HISTORY OF TIME.

There's a nearly-full moon and the stadium effect in the 2mi eye of a 892mb/175mph storm must look more like a tornado than a typical hurricane's eye. Damn that would be cool to see.

That wasn't in the NE quad. It wasn't sampled. Those obs came from the "weak" SE quad.

Sorry, the poster asked where the data was recorded in the SE quad. I should've included that was what I was posting. My apologies for any confusion.
