What's scary is that I'm typing this on storm2k and in 4 days from now I'll probably be homeless and I'm sick to my stomach.

I was in bed. Couldn't sleep. "Maybe there's a 2 a.m. update" I thought.

<BOING!>

Now I wonder if I'll be able to sleep before Monday. Hope I have a roof to sleep under then.

I would not worry too much yet. I am the eternal optimist so I could be wrong, but I don't believe this storm can maintain this kind of intensity for very long.

Who said that the last one could not be the first?

Wilma is the last name in the list, but with the central pressure of 892 mb becomes the most intense of the season.

Well Ivan, If I remember correctly you are a met student.

It would not be a stretch to say that you may never see anything like this, in terms of a tropical system, ever again.

It seems like all these oddities are becoming the norm lately because what you think that wouldn't materialize in a lifetime will probably occur next year.

Starting to see more of a NW motion taking place. Anyone else see that? Or is it just too early for my eyes?
