Was the 2pm update of 900mb just an estimate? I don't think the pressure dropped they probably just overestimated the weakning.

I was looking at the MIMIC http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tropic/real- ... npage.html

It does appear that an ERC is taking place now, unfortunatley the MIMIC is a few hour old, quite a large eye I think when this is done. Inner eye is weakning/being displaced presentation looks a little asymetric towards the end.

The 900 mb used in the 2PM advisory was an estimate based upon satellite presentation. Actual latest measured pressure is 892.

And the measured winds from the vortex message were down to low category 4 range, likely due to an ongoing ERC.

Hard to believe that sort of pressure indicates a cat 4. Makes me kind of scared to think what the speeds will be once the EWRC is done.
