So...this is how to stop a hurricane?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Auction it off in the same way people have done for diseases and ghosts? Now why didn't I think of that!

since this idiot "lives" in Jensen Beach, maybe he would realize IT IS ON THE EAST COAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From ebay listing:

"Hello I live in Jensen Beach on the west coast of Florida. I will call, providing my cell phone works, the wining bidder during hurricane Wilma. The call will come during the the most eventful moment. I live about 300 ft from the water and last year there was a much flooding. This is a picture taken during one of last years hurricanes. You can see the frustration I endure"

i just had a thought. if no one buys it and this e-bay user "owns" it and it does several billion dollars worth of damage would the seller be responsible to insurance companies,FEMA, etc.? (since it is a "liability" being sold)

Only if God doesn't "engage in litigation" vis-a-vis an intellectual property rights violation first, if you know what I mean.

That's awesome. I am rolling on the floor!

I guess it might get Hannah/Barbera (sp?) in a roar too as that is Fred Filnstone's wife involved!

I guess that you, people, missed the report of the miami guy/company that wants to seed the storms with their powder which converts the water in the clouds to a gooe which would fall from the sky, but then break up in the salt water below. Supposedly, completely environmentially ok.

That was on Fox News about a week ago. Sounded ridiculous at the time. Considering how close I am to Wilma's future path, it sounds pretty good right now! ;)

Let's say the Hurricane didn't hit Florida (maybe dodged just south or went somewhere else) someone would be without a penny!

Can we somehow get this guy to promise us to stand by a tree during the worst gust and take a picture? It'd be something I'd like to own.

Ah, yes. The DynoMat dude. He's been trying to sell his snake oil for the last few years. No one believes him.
