Should I be worried?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Some models indicate phasing with the upper level low and it would force Wilma northward into New England, am I 100% safe from this storm.

Not safe at all. Needs to be closely monitored.

Should you be worried? No.

Should you be prepared. Yes.

:)

Be ready and just keep an eye on it.

Hurricanes are not just coastal events. You could possibly see significant rain from the system although I doubt it considering the speed of the system. I wouldn't be worried at all but I would certainly watch the storm closely and be prepared for anything. Proactive not reactive is the key.

During Mayfield's new conference, he had those tack graphics with the isobars and what not. Well anyways, as Wilma moved towards Nova Scotia, the isobars became really close together from New England all the way over to eastern Wisconsin. Does this mean I should be prepared for a major wind event over southern Ontario?

Nobody is ever 100% safe.
