Out flow boundry's looking up..

This may be the 1st indication that a More N component is close to comencing...Take a look..

not only does it have a more northernly component of movement, but those cold red cloudtops are starting to re-wrap all the way around the presumed new eye.

it looks like it's shedding the pacfic feeder band, and maybe that's why the N is blowing up (to compensate)

those really dark gray cloudtops are starting to reappear on IR..haven't seen those since she warmed up yesterday morning

it looks like that new eye is going to be huge. more of a katrina shape

We need a couple of hours mor of images to confirm, but I think you're right. I see two things here - a slowdown of the forward progress in the last couple of hours, something which frequently happens prior to a turn, and also the elongation of the envelope northward.

Right now, it looks to me like the NHC track will be dead on accurate.

Definitely see the elongation of the outflow towards a N/S orientation, still very little nothern component to the motion, though.

Could be a sign of things to come...it usually is. Right now, that's where the weakness is, just to her north.

the western edge of the out flow looks like it hit a wall... it looks sort of smashed a bit.. the turn looks to be coming soon...

Looks like the only way for it to go is due north from here then should make the NE turn.
