Things you HATE to spend money on...
One more new topic tonight...
Things you just HATE to spend money on.
I hate car repairs...especially unexpected ones. I hear people talk about their cars as though they were members of the family. Well, if that is the case, then I often consider my car as the "black sheep."
I've wanted a divorce from a couple of them because they caused me hardship, pain, and cost me both time and money.
Yes, I've had a couple that were nice and special...didn't cost me much at all. Gave back more than I gave them. But that has been the exception rather than the rule.
How about you. What do YOU hate to spend money on?

I hate shopping for anything but plants for the garden.
I am frugal to the max. I never go to the mall, all my clothes are from the thrift store. My shoes are from the Dollar General Store. I never go to Walmart for anything, just on principal. (they shut down small ma and pa businesses when they move into town)
I hate to look at the prices of things when you buy them brand new. I would rather find stuff at a garage sale, flea market or the thrift.

Vet bills....
Car bills....
And, dresses! Yes, I hate wearing dresses and I have a fancy wedding to go in August. Right now I own one dress, hardly appropriate for this wedding. An awful green print one......ewwww, I've been searching for just the right one and it's hard! I'm picky....and as I said it will be a sit down dinner wedding reception. Ugh. Such a waste of good money....since I'll wear it only once or twice, if that. Anyone want to lend me one? Come on Bill, you've got to jump on this topic.........LOL

I should have added, we love our dog! And of course take very good care of her but taking her in for a simple rash, back in January, cost me $175! Doctor just assumed it was her thyroid, it wasn't, blood work alone was $90. Hubby was livid. I should have put my foot down, regret it now. I think the Vet sees you walk in with a simple concern and is already looking at ways to run up the bill. The re-check actually was no charge, after I complained I had to pull money out of savings just to cover the last bill. You do have to speak up! And I'm sorely tempted to have written on my dog's chart - anything over $50, check with owner first.
Another big expense are dental bills....ugh, I'm booking my appts. 9-12 months apart, even tho DDS wants 6. (Of course I book the kids 6 months apart.) Wants is the key word here...and then they ask - insurance? We've never, ever had dental insurance? What's that? LOL (Hubby is self employed, small office).

Car repairs and Movies (I mean, why not just rent them and then send them back. It is cheaper that way!) If it is movie you really like and will watch over and over and over again it is fine, but if not -- why buy it?

Here in Texas its homeowner's insurance - mine went up double the normal amount - because of all the MOLD claims. Which upped my housenote way too much.
Bron - I can second the lawyer fees. We went after custody of my stepdaughter - WON - which makes it worth every penny - but I have been paying her every month for the last year and half and probably will be doing it that much longer too.
BILLS - they never cease to exist do they.
