Or do you think the models are out to lunch?http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/float-ir4-loop.html
after analyzing the satellite loop for the past several hours, Wilma looks like she may miss the Yucatan...the GFDL, which seems a bit drunk, thought Wilma would make landfall at about the latitude she's already at. Comments?

Agree Stormfury, Wilma continues to move steadily nw. IMHO if it does not slow over the Yucatan and just clips the ne corner, I think it could go a little further north in the Gulf & then turn n.e with a possible hit between Sarasota & Fort Myers.

Even Don Sutherland does not agree with the stall. At least I think it was Don; it a was a met for sure who said something like, "I am not buying into the idea of a stall just yet; and Wilma should make landfall as a category 3 115 mph."

I don't see it...it'd almost have to turn straight west at this point to follow the GFS/GFDL models....I don't know why they're so far off.

I voted no but am hoping yes. Well for me anyway.. a stall would be terrible for the Yuctan.

My thinking is that it could slow down for a short while just before making it's NE track, but not to a complete stall. I also think it won't quite make landfall in Mexico. Landfall in SW FL at 115 MPH looks pretty reasonable.
