Tampa Hit........ NOT.
Cold fronts are alot easier to predict than cyclones. The front is forecast to be at or past Tampa. No Way the storm wll go through the front. Ft.Myers or south is the best forecast at this point.
As far as current movement, I fear a lot of wierd wobbles and jerks. Opehila comes to mind. The first part of the forecast is almost impossiable to pin down right now, and yet it is the most important for the final intensity.

She'll be out of the gulf stream fairly quick.

Yeah, and they also thought Charley was going to Tampa and didn't. There were a lot of people caught off gaurd. I know this subject has been beat to death but its true. I think that is why so many people are jumpy and wanting to know where she's ging to make lanfall it sure makes a person nervous not knowing and being told one think and something totally different happans.

That is why he would not rule out completely a Tampa landfall!

I think that we should keep in mind that with the eye that close to the Yucatan shoreline, wobbles make all the difference. There are models that show the eye hugging around the northern shoreline tip.
At this point, all any of us can do is WAIT and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS.
