If you were watching MSNBC about 1 minute ago, they are saying that Wilma is going to HIT Cuba NEXT!!!!! This is nuts!

Of course it is. Maybe, they just gave the wrong impression. It will clip the island, and it is heading in that general direction, so that is probably what they meant. But, it just came out as "look out Cuba here comes Wilma!". Then causes a spark in your brain, meanwhile all other people just think "look out Cuba here comes Wilma!". Get what I am saying!

I think the odds of that are increasing by the hour. Cuba isn't far at all from the Yucatan, and with Wilma now starting to wobble again, she could definitely veer off to an unexpected course.

The western third of Cuba is still in the cone.

It will, but it won't make landfall there.
Well, it could, but it's going to be effected from Wilma, to say the least, if it already hasn't.

They've been saying that higher elevations of western Cuba could get 40 inches of rain or more from Wilma, and that's before she slowed to a crawl.

I'd say that's an impact, possibly even a catastrophic one.

Hey Sooner,
Wilma has been crawling since she was first classified. Dont hold your breath anticipating a landfall in Cuba anywhere.

I'm hardly holding my breath, but I'm not discounting it either.

In the cone is in the cone. It doesn't take rocket science to know what that means.
