Given that that reading was from a flooded barrier island I'd be very concerned with artifacts from spray, flooding, salt water, etc.

From the roof of his condo in Playa, Mike has just called to say they are ok.
Says that we are probably not seeing the worst on our news and weather stations and then we lost signal.

I also saw that in a translation of a discussion issued by Mexico. It stated that the rainfall was a storm total NOT a 24 hour total. Even still, from my house on the river 64" of rainfall is a pretty frightning thought..............
