Well, since the CV never really got its act going what I am wondering is if the built up heat content of the ocean will carry over to next year, and lead to a much more active season for that part of the ocean.

Mother nature wants to put a stop to hurricanes for the rest of the season with this strong trough.

SSTs in the GOM and Straits will be too cold after this one. :D

NORTH WINDS 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH DECREASING TO
10 TO 15 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT.
.TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...MOSTLY CLEAR. HIGHS IN THE
LOWER 70S. LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO MID 50S.

Is there really only 63 days of shopping until Christmas? I better get on the ball then.

hmm the northeast might be a bit wintry in a few days
http://headlines.accuweather.com/news-s ... ?article=6 ---superstorm for the northeast?

anyway even if we dont get a massive 500-year storm, I woke up this morning to the first snow of the season in Keene,NH! of course I'm in the higher elevations (about 1000ft) but anyway we got a good coating here.
