Wilma's eye appears to be contracting to me in the last few frames. Key West might get into the extreme south part of Wilma's eye. Looks like the eye might pass over Ft. Lauerdale to Miami area. Look for a multi-billion dollar storm damages......MGC

Dr. Lyons explained the ENE movement earlier. It should nudge more NE soon as another (the strongest of the two) troughs is digging fast into the northern GOM.

Actually the last hour or so it appears to be moving more NE....

look at the SHORT WAVE loop out of NWS Key West.

Look at the orientation of the storm. Looks to be headed more NE. The NHC is right on target.

What's the name of that island on the very right edge of that eyewall? Click twice like jschlitz says to get a look at it. I hope everyone's off of it, cause it's about to get hammered.

I'm in awe looking at what is about to happen to the southern 1/3 of FL...

billions upon billion dollars of damage coming soon, much of that will be in Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, and Monroe.

That is Dry Tortugas. There shouldn't be anyone there(meaning it is not a residential area like Key West).

It's not like Key West isn't about to get hit by that same band though.

Clearly you've never been to Naples... There's easily $10-20 billion within two miles of the beach in Collier County.

Norcross saying Broward will likely see conditions we haven't seen since a storm in 1947. We've been so lucky here............and really still are. Could be alot worse.

The eye is slightly larger from recon... from 55 to 60 miles.

Movement is 19 minutes north for every 18 minutes east... just about due NE.
