Some high-level Nigerian officials were believed to be on board the Belleview Airlines jet, the office of President Olusegun Obasanjo told CNN.

"More than half" survived. Still no word on these high level officials.

Wow...CNN uses the wrong plane, a plane that Boeing is currently trying to sell, in illustration of the crashed aircraft...

True, but CNN depicts a 737-800, while the aircraft that crashed was a 737-200. Major difference...the -800 series is pretty new and still in production, while the -200 series went out of production in 1988. The 737-800 went into production in 1998 and is very much so more advanced. Also, the 737 NG series (737-600/700/800) have never had an accident with fatalities, while there have been numerous crashes involving the original 737s (like the -200 that crashed yesterday).

That's enough techno-aero babble for now...

If you really want to see the difference, look at the flighdeck-

What a difference in the control panel. I believe the 800 holds more people as opposed to the 200 correct?
