Anyone have info. on Big Pine Key?

#1 Postby jasons2k » Thu Oct 27, 2005 1:34 pm

Cannot get through yet to my father. I have seen reports out of almost all the islands except Big Pine. Any news you can post would be very helpful, thanks! - JS

I seriously doubt someone worried about their father finds any of the above helpful, but maybe you could pm and offer to drive to the father's house and see if he is okay...then you can make a joke (if you've already done that, good for you).

My bad - I posted a reply without reading his question about his father.
No harm intended, just a poorly timed attempt at humor. Sorry about that Jschlitz - hope your family is ok!

Good on ya for a nice apology! We've all posted after a mis-read, reading too quickly, etc. Well, I sure have!

Hopefully, someone from the board is close enough to help out.

Thank you for pointing that out! Agian, it was just a "I read/replied too fast", I would never make light of such a serious situation, especially
for a cool guy like jschlitz - my September MOTM nominee! :D

Hey guys,

Sorry it took awhile to reply - been in a meeting at work.

I am just overwhelmed with the repsonse. Yes, he is over on Ave. B. You guys are just the best in the world, thanks so much!! I can't even begin to thank you for the news. *almost emotional here*

Hey DH, don't worry about it, I know you didn't mean any harm, you're one of the nicest members on here :D

Thanks again!

Just wanted to let everyone know my Dad is OK. Scott actually drove over and let my Dad use his cellphone. He has power but no phone. Amazingly he didn't get flooded.

We have some really great members here on the board! It gives me hope to see people who still genuinely care about other people.

Thanks Scott!
