I've got it Kevin and all I can say is "WOW". The sad part is that this still will not inspire people to prepare. Evidence of that is illustrated with the long lines in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

Disturbing pictures. Impressive journalism on your part collecting and labelling them.

Many of my friends are still w/o power and/or water. We were lucky and got ours back on Wednesday. Our community has many trees down and we lost a small corner of our tiled roof.

The picture of the banyan tree overturned doesn't do that area justice. Almost every tree is uprooted and they are HUGE trees with a root system about 6-8 ft. across. The entire area looks as if a bomb went off.

We know we were fortunate this time but those south and east of us didn't fair so well. Food, water, ice and gas is still at a premium. Because some of our stores are open FEMA isn't doing much in the way of distribution. However, Red Cross and private citizens are helping. Our bank took up a collection, went to Costco to buy food for some of the residents of Immokalee and drove it out there.

Lynn

PS. Great job, as usual, Kevin. Thanks for sharing. I know it was a long process on dial up.

Looking forward to seeing more. Also, for anyone interested, our local newspaper is http://www.naplesnews.com and it is full of pics and stories. Still have about 53,000 w/o electricity in Collier County. While not as bad as it could be, it certainly was a wake up call for many. Unfortunately, for others they think this is as bad as it will ever get here. I think they are in for a rude awakening one day down the road.
