I believe the remnant energy from 91L has formed a spectacularly deep wave ENE to Beta. Many will probably miss this and think it is part of Beta.
This energy is so strong that it may form a second cyclone while Beta is alive and over water.
Scientifically, it is possible a very weak form of Fujiwara could cause interaction between the two systems. This possibly happened between Wilma and Alpha, but Wilma won that battle after Hispanoila knocked Alpha down, allowing Wilma to steal its energy.
The scientific means between 91L and Beta could be as simple as 91L "blocking" the easterly tropical flow across the Caribbean, allowing Beta to lift more north.
It will be interesting to see how the two storms affect each other (if at all). If Beta gets stronger it could do what Wilma did to Alpha and wipe it out. However, 91L's deep remnants look strong enough to form separately even with Beta's presence.
Instead of true Fujiwara, this could simply be more of a synoptic relationship at this level.
The Caribbean is definitely in a "flash on" state of favorability. These strangely favorable conditions seem to happen for unknown reasons, but very definitely result in sudden formation of storms...
